The Millennium Project was commissioned by the United Nations Secretary-General in 2002 to develop a concrete action plan for the world to reverse the grinding poverty, hunger and disease affecting billions of people.

Mapendo International
Visit the website to view a video on Sudanese Lost Girls and to read articles on their plight. Mapendo International identifies, protects and cares for Sudanese girls and women in danger as well as other refugees. 

Jesuit Refugee Services
JRS has a protection area in Kakuma Refugee Camp for women at risk. Most of the women who come to their gates are Sudanese who have been beaten and abused and are in danger.
